Tasty southern food in an upscale environment. We visited for a Friday evening. For appetizers, we had the chili biscuits and fried green tomatoes. The fried tomatoes were lovely, with crispy cornmeal batter concealing fresh green tomatoes. For entrees, we had the pork shank, chicken breast, and blackened catfish. The catfish was well cooked with excellent but not overwhelming flavor. The pork shank was massive and while the sweet flavor was a bit different, it was still tasty. The chicken came with this tasty southern fried rice. Service was friendly throughout our visit.

My wife and I came here on a date night, where we also went to a local museum. My wife found this restaurant on Google maps and she sent it to me to review and to decide together whether we wanted to go here. Let me tell you, it was fabulous. From the greeting at the door to being seated at a table to being greeted by our server. Their insightful and wonderful recommendations were welcome and spot on. we ordered two rounds of drinks over the course of our meal, an appetizer of the chili biscuits, the grilled salmon and lump crab entree and the steak and shrimp entree, and we closed out with the bread pudding. Every single element of our meal was incredible. Our server, Rick, was helpful, polite, insightful, and just generally friendly. If you go, and I suggest you do, I would recommend asking for him. Even the other patrons were polite as we made casual conversation with tables near us as they got up to leave at the end of their meal. All in all this was a five star experience.

I visited Lucille’s on a Friday evening at 7:30. My overall experience was great and I would recommend the restaurant to anyone considering it. The waitress, Malise, was very pleasant, attentive and accommodating. My food arrived fairly quickly after ordering, and everything came out warm/hot, which was good. I ordered baked mac & cheese as a starter. I had a spiced pineapple mocktail (with tequila added) as my drink. For the entree I got shrimp and grits. Then, I finished things off with bread pudding and ice cream for dessert I was told to make a reservation and I’m glad I took the suggestion as the restaurant began to pick up with customers around 8:30. Valet parking was available for 10.

What a freaking great place! Amazing food - the oxtail Omelette, to die for. The catfish, the bomb! The staff is the best - considerate, fun, attentive. The manager runs a tight ship and makes sure everyone is taken care of. A definite visit for the next trip to Houston. This place has the food, the ambiance and the people to make a visit special and memorable. Like the little Richard song - Lucille is a thrill.

Took the time to finally try this restaurant out on a Tuesday afternoon. This was definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. We got familiar dishes like the shrimp & grits and the chicken and waffles. Both were well prepared and full of flavor. We also got the fried green tomatoes and that was excellent. Overall I recommend trying this place out. It will not disappoint.

Absolutely delicious! Run - do not walk - to Lucille’s! Hubs had the surf and turf- I had salmon, the edges were crispy and wonderful. So yummy! We were celebrating our 34th anniversary (a month late!) and they offered Bread pudding for dessert- I am not normally a fan of this dish but it was so good. The service was top notch, the valet was kind, drinks were creative and delish!

I had the pleasure of visiting Lucille’s while in Houston, Texas, and wow what an unforgettable experience! Hands down, one of the best brunches I’ve ever had. The croissant French toast was absolutely to die for; buttery, crispy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And let me not forget the oxtail omelette so flavorful and perfectly seasoned! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. I’m already counting down the days until I can visit again! Ps. We had to valet park and reservations are required!!
